Carménère
Reserva '12
Being a huge fan of chilean
wines, I found this Carménère at Whole Foods.
It's described to have aromas of dry leaves and white pepper
that unfold with raspberry and blackberry fruit flavors, silky
smooth tannins, and a lovely complex finish. I enjoyed its spicy,
pepperry hints, dark fruits and full bodied smoothness and highly
recommend this Gold Medal Award winning wine.
Sierra Batuco’s
vineyards are located in the hills of Chile’s coastal
mountains in the Maule Valley. It’s a newly discovered
viticultural zone, with cool daytime temperatures, long dry
summers and deep clay soils.
Pairs with pork, lamb,
steak, burgers and grilled red meats.
